| Last night I went out with my girls and watched Bridesmaids. I hadnt heard much about the movie, but when given the opportunity to see a new release for free, I jump on board! (My buddy works there) So as can be expected, the movie involves a newly engaged bride and her unusual mashup of bridesmaids. I don't want to give too much away, so all I will say is THIS IS THE FUNNIEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!!! If you asked me to watch it again, I would say yes. and the next day, and probably the next. I laughed out loud non-stop. (I usually just grin, smirk, or chuckle) I laughed so hard, I started snorting. (Thank goodness everyone else was too.) My throat hurt from all the laughing when the movie was over. Then all my girlfriends and I did all the way home was quote the movie to one another and continue laughing our butts off. and we sang the old Wilson Phillips song, "Hold-On" Go see it with your girls. You'll be glad you did. Using Vonnies rating method, I would say 10/10. Let me know if you see it, so we can start quoting random lines to one another. | |

| Yea i know what you mean Shred.. Seeing as he was already married, maybe it should of been the guy who got the tattoo who went missing or something! Saying that, i think he's the only one that made screaming like a girl even remotely funny! lol | |

| I just went to see the new X-Men film. I like those films, but I wonder how many more of them they can churn out before we grow tired of them? | |

I don't think I'll get tired of them! LOL. Evil and I saw X-Men a few weeks ago! (I forgot to post about it.) I couldn't identify the actress who played the Snow Queen. I kept thinking it was the actress who played Jenny in Forrest Gump. But I knew she was much older. I had to come home and google to learn it was January Jones. Since I have never read the Comics, it is very "easy" for me to watch the movies, i take everything at face value. But for Evil, who grew up worshipping the comics, he muttered through the whole movie about the inaccuracies! LMAO.

| I just watched the film "Skyline". If you like special effects, its great. However, if you're looking forward to an intricate and deep plot, you'll be disappointed. - Spoiler:
Basically, alien ships arrive at our planet, and start hoovering people up. We watch our heroes trying to avoid them for most of the film, watching the alien ships through a slit in the blinds over the windows. Then, the two main characters are the only ones who are alive, and then they get hoovered up too. Inside the ship, the aliens seem to extract human brains to use in their machines, which in turn, destroy our planet. The male hero gets his brain sucked out, and put into a machine, but it goes wrong somehow and he ends up in control of the machine. He saves the girl. End.
So yeah... if you want to watch it, the effects are really good, especially on Bluray, but there's no explanation behind the reasons why the aliens are there, who they are, or any attempt to explain what happens at the end of the film. It reminds me quite a lot of another monster film I saw called "Cloverfield".

| Haven't popped by this thread in a WHILE! And boy, I've seen TONS of movies since!
Green Hornet
Debut in hollywood of Jay Chow full of funny moments, but honestly, it wasn't as good as I anticipated.. I felt like it was an imitation of jackie chan crossed with batman sort of thing.. and sometimes the jokes were overplayed 5.5/10.
Green Lantern
super hero movie! Liked it. I didn't stay for the end of credits, I heard there' s a cool scene D: poopies! 7.5/10
Horrible bosses
Its about three guys having miserable jobs and planning to kill eachother's bosses XD With a funny twist ^^ laughed a lot. Plus, jennifer anniston looks very pretty and younger than she did in "Just go with it" (Did I forget to review that one?). 7.8/10.
Bridesmaid
I FINALLY SAW BRIDESMAID, pam! It was full of good humor! And some urban dictionary language that I did not quite understand. Lots of laughs, with a coherent story 8/10
Cowboys and Aliens
The actress from Tron is in it. XD I felt like the movie was too short. Comparable to, though it was better than "Priest".
Captain America: the first Avenger
mmm another superhero movie. I saw this one shortly after I saw Thor and Green Lantern. And i have to say, I prefer Thor. Though, this one is not bad 7.5/10.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
ohhhh I don't remember the previous movies about the Apes, but this one was good. The title is a little self-explanatory. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed the movie! 8.2/10!
Kung fu panda 2
OHHH long time no see cartoon movies Funny stuff! Full of jokes that I fully understood hahahaha ^^ Some evil emperor taking over and the (whatre they called already..) dragon knights (I think? haha I'm writing this too long post-watching) have to defeat a machine that defeats kungfu! 8/10
Crazy Stupid Love
Honestly, I didn't expect much from this movie because I couldn't remember its' trailor before going in to watch it. And I only ended up watching it because its show time was better for me than "Change up" (the movie I initially intended to go watch). And boy, I am SO glad I did! I love this movie! Many things happen in it (relationship wise) and it's full of funny bits! I cried a lot T_T but that's because I am a crybaby T_T. Please watch it! 8.5/10. Oh and, I discovered Emma Stone through it .
The Help
Movie about black-white unequality in America with black maids. Very touching story. Emma Stone was in it again! And she has a completely different look! :O I really enjoyed the movie, it's very different from all the other ones I've seen this year. 8.8/10. Totally worth watching (although IMDB photo there looks sort of boring, believe me the movie is AWESOME).
Colombiana
The main actress is the same girl from the Avatar (The blue girl). Its a story about how a little 9 yr old girl in Colombia watched both her parents get killed in front of her and survives and grows up to be an assassin seaking revenge. Great action movie 9/10!

| After 8 years of pestering me, I finally watched "The Blues Brothers" just for Mijo. I had seen so many parts of the movie repeatedly over the years, that I thought I knew it. But this was the first time I sat down and watched it start to finish! It is a def classic. We also just watched Russell Brand in "Arthur". And "Tangled" by dreamworks. I have been watching alot of series too, on Netflix, I have been watching all of the english romances based on novels by Catherine Cookson. On Hulu I have been watching 'Up all night" with Christina Applegate (its hilarious) and I just started watching the series 'New Girl" with Zoey Deschanel (its ok) Shred and his GF told us about, "The Walking Dead" on AMC. It is the best show we have watched in FOREVER! We literally scheduled the rest of our day/night/lives around that show! | |
