The way we express ourselves and distribute information on the internet will drastically change as we know it. According to the PROTECT IP Act, it gives the Entertainment Industry the power to censor whatever they deem as copyright infringement. oh god, we go threw this every year. Sorry to say but the american federal government we be the ones to decide if the goes threw or not. In america atleast. They try to use the terrorist excuse to invade our privacy, just like the patriot act.
But the internet as worldwide will never be totally censored. It will be broken down into regions and they will try to slowly censor every region. but it will never happened everywhere.

First they will try to limit your bandwith, which i swear already happens to me sometimes.

And as for pirates it will be the 3 strike your out rule. It matters on how much of a pirate you are too. Big difference between someone who shares 1gig to someone who shares 1trig. They bust college kids all the time, just like in the napster days.

if u ask me they need to go after the identity thieves and scammers that pretty much run the internet.
