The story of the yellow ping pong ball

Once a kid was born. Some days afterwards he started talking. Since he was gifted, 3 years later he went to elementary school and always had straight As. When the kid finished elementary school his father offered to give him anything he wanted:
"Tell me anything in the world you want and I'll give it to you"
"I want a yellow ping pong ball"
"Don't be ridiculous. You know, it's time I bought you a tricicle"
"Dad, I want a yellow ping pong ball"

And so, his father bought him a tricicle. Then the boy went to 5th year and he had 100% in his grades at all times. When he finished the 9th year, always with 100% in every test, his father offered to give him anytihng he wanted:
"Tell me anything in the world you want and I'll give it to you"
"I want a yellow ping pong ball"
"Don't be ridiculous. I guess you're old enough to have a bicicle"
"Dad, I want a yellow ping pong ball"

However, his dad bought him a bicicle. The kid then went to high schooll and he would have 20/20 in every exam. When he finished, always with the same high grades, his father offered to give him anything he wanted:
"Tell me anything in the world you want and I'll give it to you"
"I want a yellow ping pong ball"
"No. But you don't have a motorbike yet. I'll buy you one"
"Dad, I want a yellow ping pong ball"

His dad refused and bought him a motorbike. He then went to study Law at a college.
In a few period of time he became the greatest layer in the country. His dad offered to buy him anything he wanted:
"Tell me anything you want and I'll give it to you"
"I want a yellow ping pong ball"
"No, but instead I'll buy you a car"

His father bought him a Ferrari. The boy now in his adulthood had become the best layer in the world. However he had fallen ill and was in his terminal breath.
His dad offered to make him happy and give him anything he wanted:
"Tell me what you want son and I'll bring it to you"
"I want a yellow ping pong ball"
"OK, I'll find you one. But, by the way, what do you want it for?"

And started to say why he wanted a yellow ping pong ball, but he died without getting to say a word.

I dare you to find a drier joke than this one

thats not a joke. Thats almost a like a moral story.

If you are in a telling long jokes, after telloing 4 or 5 good ones, you'll see it works.

For being so smart and getting such good grades kid was pretty stupid. Anyone knows he could sell any of those gifts and get a yellow ping pong ball. I think thats the joke? i dunno

Such a smart kid should have his reasons to want a yellow ball. You would be expecting him to have a funny reason. He just dies before what would be the punch-line.

yes, yellow ping pong balls are unexisting unless you paint one because they would reflect a lot of light and become useless to play.
and his mom is not called for the subject

I think the moral of the story is that the father forced things on his son, that his son never wanted. That his father lost an opportunity to truly know his son and know what would make his son happy and why.

kid is stupid. thats the moral, you can get good grades and still be stupid-like father like son.

But, we all know the real reason - the kid needed a yellow ping pong ball to play at his yellow ping pong table. He never figure out he could simply just buy another ping pong table and buy a white ping pong ball. Duhh.

Wow neo. The kid became ill not because he was stupid. And even stupid ppl can have big hearts, do they deserve to get cancer or something? but he wasnt stupid he was a lawyer....Pam has it right
