So today I had the scariest and longest afternoon in history. Well actually it was the most painful 2 hours ever!
At approximately 3:30 today we had a power outage. *Snap Crackle Pop* No more electricity! Our place has tons of windows and it was a bright sunny day so at least we weren't sitting in the dark. But no quality time with the PS3, no tv, movie watching, or even listening to the stereo. The laptop battery was threatening to go on strike as well. So I meandered around and finally decided to read a book.
At 5 pm...HOORAY!!... the electric company fixed the problem! Power for everyone!!! Evil runs to turn on HIS PS3, and there is no response. No green light, no red light, no groan or squeak!!! Nothing!
He runs into the next room to look at my PS3, which was behaving nicely and waiting for me to log on and play FP.
I could only imagine what that meant! He was gonna bully me off of my system because his was fried! I frantically started looking for the receipt while he called Playstation support.
So long story short...they walked him through some stuff, and figured out maybe just his power cord was fried. He plugged in his console to my power cord and it worked just fine! Hooray!
So Playstation support agrees that its actually cheaper and faster for us just to go to Radio Shack and by a new power cord instead of boxing up his console and sending it to them.
After he reconnects the cords to my PS3, he reconnects his PS3 back up (using the same "troublesome" power cord) and it decides to behave and turn on!
We think maybe the problem has to do with the wall outlet and not the plug after all!!! *whew*
Wow! Now that we survived that mini meltdown I am ready to play some FP!

ps...that will show Evil to plug his stuff into a powerstrip from now on!
