New Club?

Hey Jokers! I guess some of you know of this already but ASK considers the Jokers their sister clan, we have same practice times and we love having mathes together! Last Friday Era suggested we play as a team against others and ASK had a blast and the matches were epic! What do you guy think of forming a club together of both our clans? We could practice and face other clans together on normal practice times. Maybe every other week having practice so that our separate clans can have their own practice! What do you guys think? I think it would be very fun and form even more friendships! Haha

Interesting idea, though I have a few questions to make sure I understand what is being suggested. Are you simply asking to cohost practices and potential clan battles? Or to permanently join clans? Are you asking for a different club of willing participants from each clan altogether?

If a clan battle is set up and there are more participants vs available slots, how will players be chosen?

If strategies are formed by this third club, can they be mutually shared with the [JKR]s and [ASK]?

If operating under a third club, how would it be lead, and would a forum need to be maintained? Could/would potential players outside of the [JKR]s and [ASK] be allowed to join?

As you can see, there would need to be a thorough discussion to make sure everyone understands the parameters that this club would operate under. The [JKR]s are very fond of [ASK] as well, and we would never want our relationship to suffer.

Lets continue to brainstorm, and see where this takes us.

Yes I understand your concerns! I'm fashioning this after PHM and SNK and their club Pretty Snack Machines.

Question 1: No it is not a permanent clan merger basically co hosting practices with both clans. But we would just have some random different name when playing together, Deo suggested Doogles and the Pandas just because its separate inside jokes in both clans. Nothing serious.

Question 2: It would have to be at a first come first serve basis. If we were to play a different clan and we had more than the available slots, maybe the left overs could practice together? It would be difficult.

Question 3: We don't necessarily have to make strategies. It seems like most strategies in clans are them same, just different execution. But I'm sure there's differences. If we wanted to make strategies I'm sure we could come to a mutual agreement.

Question 4: If we wanted a forum we could make one for the heck of it, it's not a requirement. Leadership could either be the leaders of both clans all combined. But it could just be all members and whoever wants to plan something can. It would be better if outside players did not join unless they join one of the clans preventing the main clans from being excluded from practices.

Anyways I'd like to see more responses and questions

I like the idea of co hosting to be honest, i think having a club similar to the Pretty Snack Machines would be a good idea! I dont know a great deal of ASK players, but i had a blast playing the other day! There wasn't much direction and stuff whilst we were playing, but i think that would come with practice anyway..

This would also solve the problem of people not being able to join in practices very often or not for long as we have Jokers in a wide variety of timezones.. All we would need to do is open a PSN chat room called whatever the club would be and at least it would give those Jokers a better chance of playing with people and actually practicing!

As long as there is no butting heads coming from anyone and everyone's ideas are listened to and taken into consideration, i think this could be really beneficial

Yeah we have vast time zones too but we have the same practice time so if we friend each other on psn practice would be more beneficial I think.

=) It will be a club, yes. We did so well together last time without any talks before the games. and that was our first game together! We all are good experienced enough. I believe ASK and JKR could be a really strong force together. We could have games vs world or other clans or PSM or even ORI if we want some TDM =)

Last Friday we had 32 players room. 32 very good players in one room, like good old times. With this club we can have games like that again and again. That was really great.

ASK have practice on Friday at 5 EST, so we could play together as a club at this time. If some people come later to practice, we can swap.

Of course both clans will have their own practices, their matches etc etc. Nothing has changed. But we will know that on Friday we will have a guaranteed fun with our ASK friends and lots of community people.

We have practice Saturday at 5 pm est too so if we ever wanted to do things then we could too!

I'm glad we are getting such positive feedback from [JKR]s, I hope if anyone does have any concerns, they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. Also, I would like for Jason to share any accolades or hesitations on behalf of [ASK] just so things can be addressed asap.

Please do all brainstorming in this thread, vs the shoutbox, people can misinterpret the shoutbox, and I personally miss requests people put in there for me all the time, better to PM me, or put your request in the appropriate thread.

So far we have no negative feedback on [ASK]s end. We're all for it! I think this will be fun! Let's continue to brainstorm and see what happens

If the name "doogles and pandas" implies what I think it does: I would have to strike down that option.

I can joke and tease with the best, but dont want a name that may objectify or offend.

There seems to be lots of potential here for joint practice sessions that are really fun & highly competitive. I think that is the motivation behind this. To address some of the concerns raised earlier...both clans will completely retain their own identities. As for in-game leadership, I think we'll have enough voices on mic to take care of that. We may not need to designate one leader on the mic, but that's always an option.

Strategies--I don't feel we need to create new strategies from scratch just for the club. But again anything is possible, although I feel we'll have enough communication during the game to be strategically effective. When it comes to who has priority in joining in on these practices, first come first serve seems to be the most realistic option for now; however, we could always have a sign-up topic on each forum. And as for the question of a new forum, I think we'd be better off not doing that for now. It just seems it may overcomplicate things. We'd love to have you on our forum though, and hopefully more of our clan members will sign up here as well

Well, Doogles and the Pandas...hmm I'm really not sure either! haha. Doogles is just a bot that we jokingly added to our roster after he performed exceptionally well in one of our practices lol. When it was first suggested, The Pandas was said to be an inside joke that JKR would understand. Not so? Either way, I'm open to all suggestions and I'm sure we'll come up with something clever.

Pandas = Boobies.

As in, " That girl has tan-lines on her pandas." Or "I caught Mijo looking at that girls pandas."

Hahaha! I knew about the pandas thing but I guess combined with doodles makes it sound sorta interesting We're trying to think of names on the ASK forum an I hope you guys can come up with ideas too

So as Julius said we do not need to make an official leader so no one out ranks each other. This is what a roster would look like.
