I am so shocked to hear about the senseless acts of violence in Norway.

Yeah it's pretty crazy messed up stuff....

I'm just shocked how he shot people who were begging for their lives and swimming away from him...And how he used the excuse to do it in name of a dutch political party...im so ashamed for that party in my country...

I just dont understand why people do this sort of thing :-/

There's no death penalty in Norway. I suppose they just have to lock him up. 21 years is probably a 'life' sentence, and he won't be let out into the general population when he's released. Chances are, he'll end up in some sort of mental institute, or asylum. Unless he escapes, I don't think we'll be seeing him out and about on the streets any time soon. (which is a good thing, in my opinion).

There aren't many people who have extremist views, or believe in the policies of their party so much, that they'll do crazy things to prove it. It seems that you only need 1 man with a screw loose, and that's enough.

Did they find out if the shooting and the bombing were connected?

I was at work when I read about it. Sweden is next to Norway, and it's shocking to read about something like this in a neighboring country.
Of course it's shocking when something like this happens wherever in the world, I hope you can see my point..

It's definitly a down-side to the penalties in Norway (they are the same in Sweden). People like this deserves to be locked up and stay there until they die...

I dont get it either. But I know in norway they have church burnings all the time...I guess a majority of the population is against the religion there government wants them to be in. Idk thow thats just what ive heard. still not a good reason for stuff like that.
