btw for mac users:
for a month, the integrate mic on my macbook pro stopped working. All my audio programs were not able to detect sound from it. However, when I plugged my iphone earphones (which have a mic), my laptop was able to detect sound. My laptop general sound settings had nothing wrong.
I brought my laptop to the technician at school and he suggested I do a backup of everything I have and he would reset my laptop, everything, so it'd erase all my settings and programs.
I was skeptical about it, and I think it's very troublesome having to reset all my internet settings and VPN stuff...
Anyhow, I spent 15 minutes on Google, just typing "Macbook pro mic not working", and I found the solution XD
I went in Finder and typed "Audio Midi settings" and changed the settings from there. (Apparently it was on mute for some reason)
and VOILA! no more need to reset my laptop and I get to keep all my programs and settings running

are you sure you don't see them? maybe your luminosity for your screen is really low? they're very secretly hidden when my luminosity and contrast is low XD
