Creative with GIMP

Cool! i didnt like Gimp. It made all my scans look dirty and dark. I probably just couldnt use it properly, lol

I noticed Flim was having sucess with GIMP, so I thought I'd have a go. I removed the background from this rawr dinosaur picture, so you just get to see the dinosaur. I think he's cute. :-)

There was a website called aquiziam where we had to find clues in a picture that would lead to it's main subject (It was kinda ambiguous anyway) and some clues were so dark I had to use gimp to clarify the picture. It did its job well:)

I'm still learning the functions of GIMP, Flimmy maybe you could tell me the way you do your animations. Perhaps its a function I haven't seen yet. :-)

Well the main animation i use is Burn In..
and for that you need 2 layers
so i use transparent backgrounds.. so in my case i put 1 transparent layer at the bottom.. with nothing on it
and then i put my "Flimming" lettering or whatever im animating ontop of that bottom layer
i then go to Filter>Animate and click burn in.. then i get rid of the glowing thing and then customise the timing
