I just saw a documentary today about how some indoor lighting can cause tanning, premature skin aging, and skin cancer as well. Normally those are the "spotlight" type lights you see in places that illuminate particular things (like in malls, museums, or at night clubs). It is recommended to wear sunscreen protection even at night under those lights :O

good for your dad!!! my best friend had a precancerous mole on his face as well!! he had it surgically removed when he was young, and now he has a small scar - small price to pay for health.

ok lots of sunblock... i've noticed the older I get the more of these weird little brown spots I get. They actually start red and then become brown... I have noidea if they're bad for me, maybe I should ask my dr next time I see him...

yeah I think its normal that the # of dark spots and moles increase as we age; its just that we need to pay attention to their shape, color and texture. And if they suddenly become bigger or not round shaped anymore.

It wouldn't hurt to get it checked during your checkup though XD

my regular day to day face moisturizer has a small 15 spf Smile

I heard seattle has the highest number of skin cancer people, because it's never sunny, no one wears sunblock, but they are still getting hit by sun rays so like they still get cancer and they're never protected... I'm telling you, never move to seattle Sad

It's sad when you can get cancer without enjoying the sun

Yes even when its not sunny UV rays are a problem. I got my factor 50+ cream *pats. its no joke i burn really easily.

awww desi! My parents have always bought me 60-80 spf sunblock when I was young (well, "young" is a relative term. I think they've been doing it up to last year

) haha. Now I am too lazy to put sunscreen, so I buy moisturizers that have built in sunscreen protection XD Those usually only have 15-30 or 50 spfs though XD not as much, but I think it's enough for me >_>
