| I haven't read those yet desi. But I have been told that Game of Thrones has been made into a TV show and people are obsessed with it. I may try to look for the books on Amazon so I can start reading them! | |

| In this period I'm reading all 'classic' romance written in 800-900 in France in England or Russia cause for me this literature is the most interesting. For example I love 'Moll Flanders', 'Anna Karenina', 'Danja Vanja','The lady of the camellias' | |

| I love watching all of the classic romances on Netflix. Mijo is always saying, "You must wish you could have lived back in that time period." While it does seem grand and romantic, I do appreciate things like curling irons, flushable toilets, and online shopping! | |

I like horror, suspense, mastery, some sci fi. At the moment i am reading The Jokers forum I honestly doubt it will ever finish. LOL its like lamb chops...This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends

| OK for reals this time. at the moment im reading Frost and Fire by Ray Bradbury. Nuclear warfare has taken its toll on the planet. Due to the radiation humanity is forced to live in caves. from birth only have eight days to live. its interesting how some one would spend there life knowing this. There is harsh environmental applications. like the weather. there is no seasons all in a day it could go from so hot everything is incinerated to freezing over solid. it has a nice twist at the end on how they overcome the radiation. there is even epic warfare, and small amount of romance. only eight day to live still lusting for war. | |

| I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. I am now reading The Girl Who Played With Fire and will Follow it with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. I kinda cheated and saw the movies first, but was recommended the books too. They are pretty captivating so far, but I have some trouble with the Swedish references sometimes. | |

| Over the summer I read all the Hunger Games books. I misplaced My Girl with the dragon tattoo book. waaahhhh!! I need to get another one.
Interesting you mention Ray Bradbury Tuck, Mijo and I live in the town that he was from. Many of his stories are set in 'Green Town" which is what he renamed our little town in his books.
We have lots of references to him throughout our town.

I guess you have to appreciate literature... even though the stories and characters are unbearable lol

| I just finished reading Mermaid by Carolyn Turgeon. Highly recommended it is an "adult version" of the little mermaid. Much easier to read then the Gregory Macquire series that retell fairy tales. I finished this book in about 2 days. Next on my reading list is "The Perks of being a Wallflower" and "I am not Julia Roberts." Stay tuned! | |

| I saw a preview of World War Z and thought it looked interesting. Kinda reminded me of War of the Worlds. Solenoid?
I finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy last year. It's pretty good, of course so is the movie trilogy. I might see if Let the Right One In is available here to read.
I eheard the Hunger Games on audio and really liked it. I wish everything came in audio since I like to listen and play solitaire games on my tablet. I watched the first movie again and can't wait to see how they develop the characters more. Kat seems to be clueless throughout most of the books.
One of my favorite books I read in high school was Pebble in the Sky by Isaac Asimov. I think I was into sci-fi at the time. It was about a future where earth is disfavored unjustly.
I am currently waiting on Death is a Lonely Business.

| I elistened to Death is a Lonely Business and it wasn't what I thought it might be like. It was interesting, but not something I had to keep reading.
I just finished The Darkest Powers Series which was pretty good. It's about a necromancer that has to escape from a group of crazy scientists and has to decide between 2 guys. I'm probably going to read some more horror-novelas from Kelley Armstrong.

| I just finished reading The Handmaid's Tale(Margaret Atwood) and just found out there was a movie made about it in the 90s. I can't wait to see it. It was a fast read for me since I read books I'm really interested in pretty quickly. It's about a future where very few women can have babies and other women are trained to be concubines to help with procreation.
I also elistened to I, Robot by Isaac Asimov and have no idea where the Will Smith movie came from??? lol It should have been called something else, but I understand where they got the idea from. The book was kind of dull.

| I just finished the Christ clone trilogy by James beausegnul(sp?) and unholy night by Seth Grahame-smith. Highly recommend! Forewarning if you are very religious in the Christian faith, please read them with an open mind. | |

| I haven't read as much lately but like Pam and neoitvaluocsol I used to read VC Andrews too. I think that's hat got me into reading at all even though they are so messed up.
I like The Hunger Games series too. Check out Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. People always compare Hunger Games with Battle Royale. They have some similarities but they are pretty different.
My favorite series is His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. It's three books: The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. Don't watch the movie made. It was horrendous. The books are categorized as Young Adult but they are really good reads.
Other books: The Road - Cormac McCarthy (dark post apocalyptic book that will make you want to hoard) I Know This Much is True - Wally Lamb (giant book about twins, one is schizo) Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell - Susanna Clark (giant book about rival two magicians who use magic against each other and to fight in a war) Survivor - Chuck Pahlunik (writer of Fight Club - about the last surviving member of a cult)

| I love The Road and other post apocalyptic books! Planning to watch the movie (seen it once a loong time ago) with Flimming. It is in netflix and we are due to have a movie night soon! Everyone invited! BTW, if you like The Road, you might like Blindness by Jose Saramago. Haven't read any books lately because gaming took most of my free time. The latest one i can think of is The Hobbit and World War Z. | |

| I've read Blindness. I have a hard time reading some of Jose Saramago's books because the formatting. The editions I find, due to the translation, don't break up paragraphs. Makes it hard for me read. I loved the Road and I thought the movie was mostly a faithful adaptation. What I didn't like was the ending. Felt let they Disney-fied it a little. No happy endings! lol Other good books, that also happen to have movies: Life of Pi - Yann Martel (A boy and a tiger in a boat) Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Jonathan Safran Foer (9 year old boy finds a key hidden away in his dead father's belongings and searches to find what it opens) Choke - Chuck Pahlinuk (Sex addict who pretends to be choke so others can "save him") Q & A - Vikas Swarup (The movie is called Slumdog Millionaire - a poor boy who is on Who Wants to Win a Billion? and accused of cheating and flashbacks to how he knows the answers) The Princess Bride - William Goldman (I'm sure you've heard of the movie. The book is pretty funny to read as the author claims that he is translating a story someone else wrote.) | |
